Spring2Action is HERE! Help Us Reach Our $10K Goal!
Exciting news! Next week, 4/24 marks Alexandria’s Day of Giving, Spring2Action, and the PTA is thrilled to unveil this year's plans.
Our Spring2ACTion goal is set at $10,000, and here’s where your support will make a real difference:
Orchestra and Band: We're aiming to raise $3,000 (out of a total $8,000) to send our talented musicians to the Music in the Parks competition as the reigning champions.
4th Grade Field Trip: We need $4,000 to send next year’s 4th graders on an unforgettable annual trip to Jamestown.
Teacher Appreciation: Let’s show our amazing teachers some love. We need to raise $1,000 for the activities we want to host in appreciation of their hard work and dedication.
Grade Level Competition Alert!: To add some fun to our FUNdraising, we’re hosting a friendly grade level competition! Click on your grade’s fundraising link at the bottom of the JH PTA Spring2ACTion main page to donate and help your grade win a pizza party! Share the link with family, friends, and neighbors to boost your grade’s total. Fliers will be going home in backpacks this week with instructions, and a social post will be dropped in the Parents Facebook Group.

Teacher Appreciation Week Support!
May 6-10 is National Teacher Appreciation Week! Each day of that week, the JH PTA will treat our staff to a special event such as sweet treats, classroom supply restock store, a caffeine bar, and much more! To make this week successful, we are asking for help from our generous JH families.
Sign-up to drop off brownies, cookies, and school supplies here! Donations will need to be dropped off NO LATER THAN Sunday, May 5, in the bin on the porch of either: 435 North Fayette St. or 100 E. Luray Ave. Email with any questions to pta.jeffersonhouston@gmail.com.
Also, Save the Date! We will host a Chalk Party on Sunday, May 5 from 4-5 pm near door 1 of the school! Swing by to help decorate the sidewalks outside of school with wonderful art of thanks and positivity to greet the teachers on the first day of Teacher Appreciation Week. Chalk will be provided!
Kindergarten registration begins today, April 17th! Please reach out to the front office or Ms. Pearce with any questions! Please click here so that you are aware of the documents that are needed. Also, please see the link for parents to schedule registrations starting today. These appointments will go directly to the registrar's calendar.
It's time for Spring Clubs! Wednesday Clubs begin today, April 17th, and Thursday Clubs begin on April 18th. Enrollment notices were emailed on April 8th, so check your inboxes if you registered, or email clubs.jh.pta@gmail.com if you have any questions. The fee for Spring Clubs is $80 (unless you requested a scholarship) and here are ways to pay:
